A mother-daughter duo running this little establishment of 8 counter seats handling all dine-in and take-out orders, pretty impressive!
Have always seen a line outside in the past, but I happened to pass by just when they were about to open this time and was really lucky to get in the first round🥳
Sitting at the counter and seeing the food being made right before you was a nice experience, but if you don’t want to wait then getting it to-go or calling ahead (for to-go orders) will drastically cut down your wait time⏱️
I got the Yamo House Noodles with beef and the Samusas. Loved both of it - the flavor, the texture, everything. By the way, it’s a cash-only place, so make sure you have cash on you when you come💵
Hidden gem in SF.
Go here if you want bang for your buck, homely and authentic food.
You need to adjust your expectations for sure but won’t be disappointed.
Created out of love by the mother and daughter duo.
We had the house noodles with chicken and samusas, both were delicious and really good for the cheap prices. Service is friendly and efficient. There’s not much space to sit and is cash only.
The food is good (and not just for the price, just good good), and if you like hole-in-the wall eateries this is it. But honestly the price is what's amazing. I mean where else can you get $6-8 bowl of noodles or fried rice, and in San Francisco of all places.
Super tasty little spot. Staff is friendly and efficient. Place is tiny so prepare to wait. Def worth the wait. Prices are super cheap. Loved the tea salad and garlic noodles. Don’t miss the chili sauce!
No frills hole-in-the-wall gem of SF. Love the 2 ladies in there whenever I'd be eating there with my friend.
There is no way to make reservations, you just have to come there and stand in line until it is your turn. There's only 8 seats in there, so you can't bring a big party to eat there.
Their menu is very small -- but you always know: a small menu = top notch food.
Cash only spot located in the mission. It’s probably one of the best places in terms of price and everything is for $6.50. But the food was okay. We chose the vegetarian and fish options. I like the black bean fish dish. The tea leaf salad was okay. Service level is meh. There’s a lot better Burmese food choices in the city but while this is the most affordable it is also at average good quality level.
We waited in line for over 40 minutes to place our order, but it was unclear when our turn would come. We had to wait outside in the cold. If you're looking for a relaxing and friendly place with good food, I would advise against coming here. I had checked the overall reviews and had high expectations for this place, so I invested both time and money to visit. However, the daughter working there was very rude and directed her anger towards us. She seemed friendly to many other customers and even allowed some to cut in line. Her frustration stemmed from our request to dine in during a cold evening. I have no intentions of returning to this place. The food was mediocre and not impressive enough to justify the long wait. I wouldn't even consider coming here if it were free. The primary reason for the long line outside seems to be their slow and inefficient service. I agree with the many other posts about the food. There were only a few very tiny pieces of meat in one order of noodle. The noodles had no taste, curry tasted like water. The meat was extremely salty. Do not come.
